David Hamner brings over 25+ years of experience to the digital Infrastructure realm, with a specialized focused on data center strategy, site selection, development, and operations. Throughout this career, David has established himself as a trusted advisor, recently leading an M&A advisory on more than $3 billion in transactions, due diligence and board-level investor advocacy. 

His expertise extends into the evolving landscape of AI infrastructure, where he has a proven track record of navigating complex technical challenges with successful project delivery. 

David began his career as a senior officer at JPMorganChase, where he managed global data center planning and construction for 40 major sites and over 100 smaller sites.  David’s team led merger integration programs by developing strategies approved at the C-level and to Fed compliance. Some non-DC notable projects while at JPMC included 560 Mission Street in San Francisco, winner of the Office Building of the Year award, Chater House in Hong Kong (JPMC APAC HQ), and providing technology leadership on several merger integrations, call centers, trading floors and office campuses, through positive relations he cultivated with JPMC CRE.

David co-founded DataSpace Advisors in 2004, a pioneering consulting firm that provided specialized data center strategy, risk assessment methodology, and owner representation to over 60 large-scale projects. David created a proprietary Project Gating process and budget tracking tools, which he brought along to Continuum. Clients included Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs) leading data center operators and large enterprise clients.  He undertook and led dozens of strategic sourcing projects, selecting and negotiating large build-to-suit and colocation data center solutions. 

Later, David also co-founded and was CEO of DataSpace Partners, an award-winning and successful colocation Company, and developed the first Uptime Institute-certified Tier III commercial data center on Continental Europe, and the fifth Operations Gold Uptime certification in the world.  The data center has operated 15 years with no interruptions to customer systems and unmatched customer uptime on Continental Europe.

David has extensive international experience. His professional footprint spans more than 30 countries, providing him with deep expertise in geopolitical risk assessment, data sovereignty regulations and trends, and international market viability.  David is recognized for his ability to protect clients’ interests “ferociously” while delivering high-stakes solutions.
